Magic Elf Seeds

Did you know there are such things as magic elf seeds?  AoCS kids do!  And we planted some today. Each child planted a magic elf seed before nap. During nap the magical elves turned those seeds into candy canes!  We couldn't believe it!

Saanvi shows off her magic seed.

Addison can't wait to plant hers!

Seeds being planted.

Patricia plants her seed while Lexi makes a wish on hers before planting.

Careful planting going on!

Santa Visits!

The big man in red came to join us for breakfast!  The kiddos were so thrilled he made it all the way from the North Pole to AoCS!

Giving Back

Tis the season for togetherness and giving. Recently, AoCS hosted a candle donation drive for The Refuge Center, a local abuse therapy center. They will use these candles in their therapy sessions. We also donated the best gift of all...our time. We painted one of their new children therapy rooms. We were blessed to be able to partner with such an amazing organization.

Christmas Chefs!

It's Christmas time and we've been busy whipping up treats!  Here's Lena showing off her Rudolph donut. Plus William and Issac made some impressive edible Christmas trees. Nothing better than making specials treats...except maybe to eat them!  Merry Christmas from AoCS.

The menorah was made out of a banana, pretzel sticks and marshmallows. Everyone enjoyed this special treat.

Giving back to our community

This year we have decided to do something a little different for November. We have contacted The Refuge Center to volunteer our time. The Refuge Center is an amazing local organization that helps with abuse therapy. We are having a candle donation . If you would like to help in this way they are asking for glass candles, this helps as part of their sensory therapy. Saturday, November 23 is our Family Volunteer Day from 10am-12pm. We are helping paint on of their rooms. Kids are welcome as well. They will do special art projects to decorate the hallways. For more information about The Refuge Center clink on the link below.
