Pre-K One Pool Party

Pre-K One hosted their third annual summer pool party this last Friday.  Families enjoyed time together sliding, splashing and swimming the night away.  Included was a pizza dinner.  It was another successful family event as you can see on the smiling faces in the pictures below.

Let the Magic Begin!

It is dramatic play week here at The Academy of Cool Springs and what better way to celebrate than to have Bruce Amato the Magician join us for some magic and fun!  The kids love it every time Mr. Bruce visits and some of them even got to help him with some magic! He even brought his bunny this time for them to get to pet.  Thank you Mr. Bruce for coming and giving us a good show!

Happy Anniversary, Ms. Robin!

Today we celebrated Ms. Robin for her 20th anniversary with AoCS.  What an accomplishment!  We thank her for her 20 years of service.  She was surprised today during our magic show with a signed photo, one night stay at Opryland hotel, gift card, balloons and flowers.  It's our little way of saying how much we appreciate her!

Baby Yoga

Ms. Jenny from Blooma Yoga visited The Academy of Cool Springs today to teach a baby yoga class to our infant one and infant two classes.  Ms. Jenny taught our teachers different techniques and tips to help incorporate yoga into their everyday routine with the infants.  Both the babies and the teachers loved having Blooma Yoga out as a special guest.

Mr. Jake the Music Man

Toddler One and Two had a special guest this morning, Mr. Jake!  He brought a clarinet, bass, and ukelele to play some amazing music.  After he played us a few songs, he let the students come up and touch or play some of the instruments.

They were so interested in the GIANT bass.

Wow!

Future musician?

Nashville Zoo

This morning, our Pre-K Two class got a special visit from the Nashville Zoo.  Mr Josh brought Melissa the Python and Rhonda the Owl to visit our students.  He explained how each animal eats, where you can find them in America, and how each animal is helpful to our environment.  The class stayed so quiet and he talked to them and walked around to show them the animals more closely. Thank you Nashville Zoo for coming today!
