Ooey Gooey Day!

For Mad Scientist week we've been exploring and getting MESSY!  Teachers chose from different homemade sensory recipes and got to experimenting with the kids.  We made "oobleck" and "fluffy stuff".  Check out the cheap and easy recipes to make your own sensory play materials at home!

Oobleck:
Slowly mix one cup of water water with two cups of cornstarch.  (The whole cup of water may not be needed).  Add food coloring as desired.

Fluffy Stuff:
Mix two boxes of cornstarch with one can of shaving cream.

 White fluffy stuff!

It felt "silky" to touch.

We all got our turn to explore with it!

 Our fluffy stuff felt good and smelled good too!

 We have our ingredients and recipe ready to go.

 Mixing with our hands was the best part.

 It felt like a liquid and a solid all at the same time.
