Annual Bounce Night

We had a blast yet again at our annual bounce night at Monkey Joe's.  Parents were treated to pizza, dessert, drinks, and all the bouncing they could handle!  Fall is all about families at AoCS and this is just one way we promote family togetherness.  Thanks to the Money Joe's staff for helping with this event every year.  We look forward to all the bouncy fun next year.

 The Baldwin family.

 The Gray family.

 Bouncing away!

 Where should we bounce next?

 Action shot!

 More bouncing action.

 Dinner break.

 Cheese!

 Friends forever!

Who says you can't bounce in a dress?

ACE the frog made an appearance!

 He gave lots of hugs.

Everyone was so happy to see him again.

 More hugs.

 And high fives all around!

 ACE is our favorite.

ACE welcomed our families to the event.

 Welcome to Monkey Joe's

Play time with friends is awesome!

 Smiles!

 Fun games!

What a great night!

Good friends having a good time.

 Jude brought his big brother.

 Action shot!

 All smiles at Monkey Joe's

John Thomas had a good time!

 What a big smile, Kayleigh!

I think I'll just rest here.

Even toddlers got in on the fun!

 We see you!

 Up the slide...

 Then down.

They added a giant lego space that the kids loved.

 CHEESE!

Blurry pictures let us know they were having fun on the move.

 Whoooooaaaaahhhh!

 Pizza break.

 Tunnel fun!

 Here we go...up,  up up!

A quick stop for a picture.

Look how tall that tower is!

Calling for our friends to come.

 SLIDE!

Team Building

Every month we have a staff meting.  It's a time for togetherness where we can review our school vision, set goals for the future, continue our education, and enjoy each others company.  Last night we focused on ways we can boost staff morale, ideas for teacher appreciation, and team building.  We had a special guest, Ms. Molly, from our corporate office come to show us many exercises that would help us increase our communication and problem solving.  Check out our teachers working together!

#BEYONDexpectations

Below is an update from Katie D., Director of Branches Ministries.  She recently traveled to Louisiana to deliver the first round of donations our parents contributed to flood victims.  It is so inspiring to hear this news and see giving in action...

I hope you all had a great weekend! Last week was probably one of the best weeks of my life! Paige helped me load up a truck and I drove everything down to Louisiana. I can’t thank you enough for joining forces with Branches to make this event possible. The more I drove to your centers and watched the Branches office overflow with supplies and gifts the more joy and gratitude I had for what I have the privilege to do everyday! THANK YOU!!!!

Kiara (the teacher coordinating the drive) was so thankful! Her class unload the truck and showed me the donation center the school has set up in an unused storage area. Creating a “store” for flood victims to come and “shop” at has given the community a sense of dignity in such a tragic and horrible time. The students were so appreciative and could hardly believe we drove from TN to help. I told her we would love to continue the drive if they were still needing the support. They were very appreciative of our continual support and asked if we could focus the remaining of our drive on a few specific things. They are in desperate need of khakis, their county has a dress code and they are having an issue supplying the displaced students with uniforms. They are also in need of school supplies (see list below):

New and Used:
Khaki shorts (not cargo style)
Khaki pants
Khaki skirts

School Supplies:
Binders
Loose paper
Copy Paper
Scissors
Pens
Pencils
Notebooks
Folders

We will continue to collect donations until the end of September.  Drop off box is in the front lobby.

#BEYONDtheflood

Branches Ministries has partnered with all Academy schools to gather donations for those affected by the Louisiana floods.  Our parents have such giving hearts and we've been blessed to already receive diapers, cleaning supplies, clothes, and more. The first load of donations is being delivered this week to families in need.  We will collect donations through out the month of September.  Let's help teach our children about giving back by participating in Branches Ministries' #BEYONDtheflood donation drive.

We are so thankful for all the donations we've already received from our amazing families!

Happy Grandparent's Day!

Yesterday we celebrated a very important part of our families...GRANDPARENTS!  Each class made special gifts for the grandparents and we also hosted a tea where grandparents and kids could have fun eating and snacking together.  Thank you to all the grandparents who came to visit.  We are glad you could come visit our school family.
