Magic Elf Seeds
Did you know there are such things as magic elf seeds? AoCS kids do! And we planted some today. Each child planted a magic elf seed before nap. During nap the magical elves turned those seeds into candy canes! We couldn't believe it!

Santa Visits!
The big man in red came to join us for breakfast! The kiddos were so thrilled he made it all the way from the North Pole to AoCS!
Giving Back
Tis the season for togetherness and giving. Recently, AoCS hosted a candle donation drive for The Refuge Center, a local abuse therapy center. They will use these candles in their therapy sessions. We also donated the best gift of all...our time. We painted one of their new children therapy rooms. We were blessed to be able to partner with such an amazing organization.
Christmas Chefs!
It's Christmas time and we've been busy whipping up treats! Here's Lena showing off her Rudolph donut. Plus William and Issac made some impressive edible Christmas trees. Nothing better than making specials treats...except maybe to eat them! Merry Christmas from AoCS.

Special Hanukkah Snack
Today is the last day of Hanukkah. All of our classes talked about what Hanukkah is and special traditions Jewish people celebrate. For snack the kids got to make a special edible menorah. The menorah was made out of a banana, pretzel sticks and marshmallows. Everyone enjoyed this special treat.

How Many Peppermints?
The Acadmey Families loved the idea of guessing how many peppermints were in the jar. We had so many guesses. Larkin guessed 5. Her mom told her to guess a really big number and she up'ed it to 25! Congrats to the Limon family who guessed the closest and won a hot choclate gift basket.
