Project Play(grounds)

As we switch over to our summer program next week we ramped up our playgrounds with new blocks, dress up, tools, and construction props.  A HUGE thank you to all of our amazing parents who donated items.  The kids are already having a BLAST!  We are looking forward to a fun-filled Project Play summer!

Spring Conference 2019

This past Friday was our annual Spring Conference!  This year's theme was Project Play and our educators had the privileged of hearing amazing speakers.  We started the day of with the one and only Dr. Jean!  She shared so many ideas and had our teachers up and dancing the majority of the morning.  We then learned about Adverse Childhood Experiences and the difference between tolerable/manageable stress verses toxic stress.  The last session before lunch focused on busting the myth that play is "just playing".  In the afternoon Mary Jo Huff shared her knowledge of puppet play in the classroom to promote literacy.  We then finished with Lisa Maddox-Vinson teaching how to build character through literacy.  Thank you to our parent company, Never Grow Up, for hosting such a wonderful day of training.

Pre-K Prom 2019

Last Friday night was one to remember!  It was our annual Pre-K Prom where we celebrate our soon-to-be graduates.  This year's theme was Wizard of Oz!  Children dressed as their favorite character and came ready to party!  They entered through the "tornado" and came out on to the yellow brick road.  Then they met all teachers who were also dressed as movie characters!  They got to eat, drink, made their own tornado in a jar, and dance the night away.  It was SO MUCH FUN! Enjoy the pics!

You are cordially invited to...

Enter the tornado...if you dare!

Watch for the wind!

Party goers got to pick a rainbow bag, Wizard of Oz book, and giant lollipop!

Kansas twisters, "Take on my pretty" chops, Glinda's wands, Rainbow cupcakes, "In Case of Wicked Witches" water, Emerald City juice

The amazing cake and yummy cupcakes made by our very own Ms. Katrina

We also showcased our summer Kindergarten Boot Camp program.

Parents were able to get their packet of information, upcoming school calendar, and "enlist" for this award-winning program.

We also discussed our first ever graduation field trip to Chuck E. Cheese!

All the teachers got really excited for this theme!
