Annual STARS Training

We had our annual stars traing for all our staff. The speakers helped them prepare for assessment day and answered any questions that they had. Everyone took a lot of information back and will be implementing it in their classrooms.

Halloween bowling and yummy candy corn snack

All the classes had so much fun bowling with a twist. Instead of bowling pins they got to knock over ghosts!!! They also enjoyed created a yummy candy corn snack with oranges, pineapple and whipped cream.

Pumpkin contest winners!!!

Congrats to Pranav and his family for winning our family pumpkin contest. They did an amazing job creating angry birds.

Pumpkin contest

When you think of Halloween you think of pumpkins. So we decided to have families and classes decorate pumpkins. They all looked amazing and we have some pretty creative families and teachers. The school voted for the best family and class pumpkins. The family with the most votes won a fantastic basket of goodies that goes along with our health and safety theme and the classroom won a $50 gift card to the parent teacher store for their class. CPR class

Thanks to everyone who made it out to our CPR training last night. It was a great class. We loved it and learned that a lot has changed in the past couple of years. We hope to do this again with other training topics as well.

 

       

Fire truck visits

Since we are talking about health and safety we thought it was he perfect time for the fire department to visit. They talked to the kids about fire safety. The fire fighters explained what stop, drop and roll means and why it is so important. Friday Picnic

We are taking full advantage if the wonderful weather. Everyone got to enjoy a picnic outside Friday and got a sack lunch. We always love when parents are able to make it. 

Family movie night winners

A big congratulations to Pranav and his family for winning our family movie night bucket. they made an amazing batmobile car. it had some pretty impressive features including a big "P" for Pranav and a academy sticker on the back. Pranav was so excited to show us his car and later shared that they will be using it as a reading nook in his room.Please keep posted for more upcoming family events.

Health and Safety Month

October starts our annual health and safety month. Tristar Centennial Women's and Children's, Dr. Dax Dunn, The Refuge Center, Exodus Chiropractic, Matt Cason with Liberty Mutual, Prairie Life Fitness, and The Allergy, Asthma and Sinus Center came to our first annual health fair to provide tons of free resources to our families. They were able to give our Academy parents so much information. We want to thank everyone who made it out and made it a successful fair for us. We will have a table with brochures, goodies, and tons of information from all our vendors and other businesses out all month long so don't forget to stop by the tables up front.
