April is child abuse awareness month. We spend the month bringing awareness in various ways. We've dressed in blue, completed "Hands are not for hurting activities", and gave away fun pinwheels to each family!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
This week was all about St. Patrick's Day! We had a school wide Leprechaun Trap contest and the family engagement was great! You can tell that the families worked so hard on the details of their traps and the children are so proud of what they created! The children painted shamrocks with marshmallows, had a gold trail mix snack to go, a chocolate coin guessing game, and even a green lunch prepared by our health and wellness coordinator! To wrap up our very festive week, our friends all dressed in green and rainbows! They are just the cutest!

Learning new perspectives!
WE LOVE THIS! Tod 2 is focused on learning about their bodies and seeing the world from a new perspective! They have been learning about their senses and what they use the different parts of their bodies for. The children looked through sunglasses, window blocks with different colored lenses... they felt rose pedals and smelled the roses, they even pushed a ball with their noses! Discovering the world is an exciting adventure for these little folks! The teachers have done a great job engaging in this lesson.

Read Across America Week
To recognize Read Across America week at our school we have been doing so many fun activities! Children were invited to bring in their favorite book for teachers to share with the class, we did seuss-tastic crafts, expressed ourselves with a Seuss themed dress up day, and enjoyed a movie mania on Friday. Involvement from the teachers, families, and students bring our school to life and bring us such joy!
