Moon Oreos

As we learn all about space this week we made a special snack of moon oreos! We made the oreos into shapes of the moon. We learned terms like full moon, half moon, waning and waxing. The kids enjoyed making all stages of the moon...then eating them!

Mr. Bond Presents "Spectacular Space"

Mr. Bond visited for "To Infinity and Beyond" week to present "Spectacular Space!".  We learned that the Earth's core is made of metal so it turns the Earth into a magnet.  That's how we have gravity!  We experimented with pressure and dry ice.  We even made dry ice bubbles.  The kids enjoyed all the experiments.  We learned a lot and had a fun time doing it.

Ms. Megan thinks this experiment is pretty cool too!

ACE's World Tour

ACE has been travelling all over visiting the Orient, Mexico, Europe and Australia this month.  We had our parents and teachers mark the furthest they've travelled.  Congrats to the Meggison family who participated and won the travel price.  It was a cooler full of travel games, travel snacks, a gas gift card, and Chick-fil-A gift cards.  Congrats Sophia and your family!

Boomerangs!

We continue our tour of Australia with making real boomerangs.  Boomerangs are designed in an arch so with each throw it spins on it's axis and comes back to the thrower.  They are used for hunting, sport, and entertainment.  We painted ours with bright colors and fun patterns.  Check out Preschool Two as they paint their new toy!

Didgeri-WHAT?

Have you ever heard of a didgeridoo?  The kids at AoCS have!  It's is one of the world's oldest musical instruments originating from Australia.  Since ACE is visiting Australia this week we decided to make some didgeridoos ourselves.  It was so much fun. After they were done we used our voices to create all kinds of cool sounds.  Check us out during our creative process.

Holy Guacamole!

We tried guacamole for the first time at AoCS for Spanish Invasion Week.  Opinions were mixed as the kiddos tried out their "green dip".  Some ate it up, others were a little more cautious.  Check out Preschool One trying their new snack.
