Nutritionist Visits for Fitness Fanatics!
Ms. Jess came to teach us all about healthy foods! Ms. Jess is a chef that uses only fruits and veggies. She brought a back pack full of healthy foods and tested the kid's knowledge. We were so impressed when many answered correctly. We saw sweet potatoes, zucchini, avacados, bananas and more! Check out recipes and healthy tips from Ms. Jess at http://mypoortiredliver.blogspot.com/?m=1

Listening to our heart beat
Fitness is very important at AoCS. We are always encouraging heathy eating and excercise. The kids listened to their hearts wihile sitting down and everyone got their hearts beating by running around. When they finished running laps they got to sit down and listen to their heart beats. The teachers talked about difference between their heartbeats before and after their run.

Fresh and Healthy Salads To-Go
As a part of our 2014 Fitness Fanatics program we were happy to provide all Academy parents with a fresh and healthy to-go salad for lunch! Parents were able to grab a salad at drop-off time today full of fresh veggies. We love our parents and love going above and beyond to provide them with a preschool experience they'll never forget. Here's to a healthy day!
Shucking and Painting with Corn
Preschool One enjoyed a fun sensory project this week. First they shucked corn then painted with the husks. They enjoyed seeing the patterns the husks made with the paint. This activity helps develop cognitive skills, increase vocabulary, and explore sensory and art concepts.

Getting messy is part of the process! And it's fun!
