Dental Health Month

Thank you to Dr. Ryan and his staff at Brentwood Pediatric Dentistry for visiting us today. We learned all about how to care for our teeth since it's Dental Health Month. Did you know you should brush your teeth for two minutes in a circular motion?  We do now!  We got to brush and floss giant teeth. Valentine's Family Date Night Dinner

Thank you to all of our families for making out date night dinner such a success. We had a fantastic spaghetti and meatball dinner. We set the mood with candles and Disney loves songs. It is always great to see our families having a great time and captured family pictures as everyone came in. When dinner was finished they were able to decorate a picture frame for their family portrait. This was a great keepsake for all the families to remember this romantic night!!

Branches BOLT!

Today was finally the day for our Branches Bolt, Tiny Marathon. The kids have been practicing for weeks!  Even though the weather kept us inside, that didn't stop us from bolting our hearts out!  The kids were so exited about their marathon numbers and the checkered flag that started each race. The kids also collected donations to benefit Branches Ministries, our very own non-profit that benefits Academy staff and families in their time of need. Thanks to all who donated we collected over $300!  A special congrats to Ms. Sebrina's and Ms. Hijaab's class that collected the most money out of all the classes!  Their class gets a special class snack and a viewing of the movie Bolt!  It was a very successful year and we can't wait to Bolt again in 2015!

Black History Month

To kick off our celebration of Black History Month we made a unity wreath made up of all our children's hands. As MLK Jr. once said, "I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."  At AoCS we celebrate diversity and learn to appreciate and respect each other for who they are on the inside. 

Medals All Around!

It's always nice to have goals and meet those goals. In January, our goal was to create healthier habits for our annual Fitness Fanatics program. And to reward ourselves for meeting our goal we all got medals today!  The kids were so excited about their medals. It really gave them a feeling of accomplishment. Check out a few of our friends sporting their new medals!  Thanks to everyone for such a successful program!  I hope we all continue our healthy habits throughout all of 2014!
