Goodbye to Summer

Whew!  What an AMAZING summer program we've had!  Special guests, yummy new foods, dress up days, water play and so much more.  A special thanks to all AoCS teachers for heir hard work to make this a summer to remember.  We said goodbye to summer with a family JAM!  Dinner and a GIANT water slide shaped like a boom box.  We had such a great time and can't wait for next summer.  Next is our annual "Fall is for Your Family" program.  Stay tuned for special family-oriented events coming up in September-November.

Mayor Ken Moore Reads a Story

We were honored that Mayor Ken Moore visited AoCS today to read a story to us.  The kids all listened attentively as Mr. Mayor read "Creepy Carrots".  We then gave the Mayor pictures we drew for him.  Thank you Mr. Mayor for visiting us during book month!

Book Character Dress Up Day!

We have had a blast during Young Authors week. Everyone at The Academy was in full character today. We had princesses, superheroes, Little Bo Peep, the big bad wolf and so many more. Its was so fun to see how excited everyone was to come in and show off what they were wearing. Here are a few pictures that we got throughout the day.

Book Fair Week!

The Scholastic Book Fair has ARRIVED and starts next Monday!  We have hundreds of books available from Princess Sophia, Pete the Cat, Barbie, National Geographic, cookbooks, infant board books, and many more!  Bring the books your would like to purchase to the office.  Checks only please.  Every dollar spent earns our school dollars to buy resource and classroom books.

Ms. Robin's and Ms. Sebrina's Adventure!

We want to again congratulate Ms. Dana, Ms. Sebrina and Ms. Robin on they long service to The Academy!  They are the three longest running teachers in the company and they are all right here at The Academy of Cool Springs.  We are so fortunate to have them as teachers here.  As a thank you for their service, they were awarded an all-expense paid trip to the mountains.  They stayed in a three bedroom condo and enjoyed outings to Dollywood, the Aquarium, and Riley's Believe It or Not.  Here are some pictures from their trip.  (Ms. Dana was unable to go but looks forward to using her prize later this year.)  Thank you to these special ladies for their amazing years of hard work and caring for hundreds of children.
