Adventures with ACE
ACE just got back from his latest summer adventure. He had LOTS of fun with the McDonald family. Here is the scoop from their trip...
10 Days. 7 states later (TN, KY, IL, WI, MN, IA, MO) here are a few photos. Elden and Aslyn got to meet their Grammy's new horse Maggie and go for a ride at the family farm about an hour outside of Fargo, ND. The rest of their days were spent on Lake Minnewaska paddle boarding and swimming. Ace enjoyed the adventure as well...even the 30 hours of driving!!!

Adventures with ACE Continue
ACE is one busy frog! After his time in Mississippi and the beach he traveled to Philadelphia and then back to Orange Beach for some fishing. We can't wait to see where else he goes this summer!

Time for some fishing at Orange Beach!
Happy Father's Day!
It is said that a child can learn more in one week from a father's example than they can in a whole year from a teacher. We hope all of our amazing AoCS dads had a wonderful Father's Day! We celebrated on Friday with Donuts with Dad in the morning and to-go root beer and pretzels in the afternoon. Just a small token of our appreciation for the wonderful dads we have here.Happy Father's Day!

A Star is Born!
One of our AoCS students, Jude Kee, is in a new Hiller Plumbing commercial. He's the cutie throwing everything down the toilet. It's such an adorable video we had to share it and wish Jude a big CONGRATS! If you are in the mood for a good laugh...watch the video below! You might also learn a thing or two about what not to put down the potty.

Summer Learning
Summer is a time to slow down, rest and relax from the busy pace of normal life. However, it shouldn't mean that you stop learning. Summer is the perfect opportunity to learn in new ways! Check out this fantastic blog below on five simple summer ideas to encourage learning.
Five Ideas to Encourage Learning This Summer
Submitted by Georgi-Ann Clarke
School
may be out for the summer, but there are still lots of opportunities
for young children to play and learn! Here are five ideas:
1. Take your child to a live performance - Family friendly events are a great way to teach your child about the performing arts. Try these tips to help young children prepare for the experience.
2. Read books about warm weather fun -These stories focus on playing outdoors, visiting relatives, and cooling off in the water. Read a story then try one of the suggested activities with your child!
3. Turn any walk into a nature walk - Use time outdoors with young children to help them learn about the natural world. Explore your neighborhood, observe the weather, examine plants, flowers, and more!
4. Visit museums and libraries in your town - Find low-cost or no-cost local attractions to visit with young children (zoos, botanical gardens, libraries, and aquariums - to name a few) to assist in their summer learning adventures.
5. Create mini-learning centers at home - Use these ideas to fill boxes with materials and props related to a topic to give children a hands-on way to learn!
And before heading to the parks and playgrounds for outdoor play, be sure to review these sun safety tips to keep young children protected!

Adventures with ACE
Looks like ACE has hit his first pit stop. This summer he's traveling with all our AoCS families on their summer trips. We've spotted him first in Mississippi and Panama City Beach with the Griffin family. Where will he go next?!
Rest stop in Mississippi!

Summer Water Safety
Pools, lakes, ponds, and beaches mean summer fun and cool relief from
hot weather. But water also can be dangerous for kids if parents don't
take the proper precautions. Nearly 1,000 kids die each year by
drowning. And most drownings happen in home swimming pools. It is the
second leading cause of accidental death for people between the ages of 5
and 24.
The good news is there are many ways to keep your kids safe in the water — and make sure that they take the right precautions when they're on their own. Click on the image below for some helpful tips on how to keep your kids safe this summer while still having fun!
