Monkey Joe's Bounce Night

Last night was one of our biggest events of the year...Monkey Joe's Bounce Night!!!  Everyone LOVES this night full of free pizza, drinks, desserts and all the bouncing you can handle.  It was hard to get pictures but we did manage to talk a few of the kiddos into stopping for a moment to say "cheese".  Thank you to our over 50 families who came to participate!  We love having you as a part of our School Family.

Baby Doll Circle Time

The Academy is proud to introduce a new program called Baby Doll Circle Time.  BDCT is part of our larger social/emotional curriculum, Conscious Discipline.  It is for children ages 12-36 months.  It helps increase attachment, attunement, and social play in group child care settings. 

BDCT will begin in October for Toddler One, Toddler Two, Preschool One and Preschool Two.  We are excited to see how this new program will help improve the relationships between our educators and the children in their care. 

Jell-O Painting

Our Pre-K 2 class explored their senses with Jell-O painting. They used different colors and flavors to experience sight and smell of each different one.  They then made beautiful pictures to hang up where they could continue to experience each individual smell by using a scratch and sniff method.

Grandparent's Day!

AoCS celebrated Grandparents' Day with a lovely outdoor tea yesterday afternoon.  We love the grandparents in our lives and thank them for being so wonderful.

Oops...We did it again!

The biggest award given at each fall conference is who won the summer program contest.  Each Academy school competes all summer long to provide the best summer program out of all the schools.  We won in 2014 and 2015.  Last year we lost the trophy and that drove us even harder this summer to gain it back...and we did!  We are so happy to announce that The Academy of Cool Springs has once again won best summer!  The trophy is back on the lobby table for the next year.  Be sure to give each teacher a pat on the back, high five, or a simple "congrats".  They are the reason we have this trophy again! 

Fall Conference Awards

At every fall conference, our company gives out F-ALL Star Awards.  Each center gets to nominate an outstanding ITERS teacher and an outstanding ECERS teacher.  This year we chose Ms. Megan Kuhn for our ITERS Star and Ms. Neelam Parmar for our ECERS Star.  On top of that great honor, Ms. Neelam was chosen out of all the centers to win the overall ECERS award!  We are so proud that both of these ladies call AoCS their home.  We are lucky to have them in our School Family.  Please help us by wishing them congrats next time you see them.

Fall Conference 2017

Last Friday Academy teachers from all over middle TN gathered for their annual fall conference.  This year we focused on getting more in-depth training from our academic curriculum, Frog Street Press.  Thank you to Camp Widjiwagan for hosting us once again.  It was a wonderful day full of learning.  We can't wait to jump back into our curriculum this week!
