Run, Run as fast as you can, you can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man!!!!!!
Our Pre K One class enjoyed creating their own gingerbread man. They got to pick out their gingerbread man and decorate him or her exactly how they wanted them to look!
Circle Time Fun
We love observing all the great circle time our educators plan for our friends. Circle time gives children the ability to socialize with, learn more about, and relate to their classmates. Nurturing social-emotional development early on is an important part of kindergarten prep and has been shown to help in academic and professional aptitude later on. It also allows children to share their thoughts and ideas with classmates. Our friends also get to practice turn taking, learn respect for others opinions, and understand the need for rules. It helps children to prepare for kindergarten activities.
Friendsgiving Lunch
Today is a special day, we are celebrating Thanksgiving with our friends. We spoke about being thankful for the little and the big things we have in life. Explaining to our little friends the importance of having gratitude is always something we look forward to do. Of course everyone enjoyed their special lunch today.
We also showered our teachers with gratitude by cooking a delicious homemade chili combined with yummy pies. We all appreciate the little things.
Fine Motor Skills
Fine motor skills is very importance skill to develop as early as we can. Working in early childhood we focus a lot in developing that skill. Through these manipulations, children develop eye-hand coordination, which is the ability to match hand movement with eye movement. They also gain strength and improve dexterity in the hands and fingers so improve areas of physical development for writing, drawing, and getting dresses. It helps a child's self-esteem and confidence grow when they are able to accomplish self=care and everyday tasks by using fine motor skills.
