Grandparent's Day lunch

There is a day set out each year to show our wonderful grandparents how much we love them. This year we had a very special lunch and gave the Grandparents of AoCS a chance to come and visit their grandchildren. They were able to get a special craft that was made just for them that the kids had been working on all week. We even had some stay and play a little bit and read stories before naptime. We appreciate everyone one of them for taking time to come and enjoy lunch on us.

Make-and-Take Family Emergency Binders

Since we started our Fall program that focuses on families, we had a great idea to make family emergency binders. Moms were able to stop by the kitchen enjoy some snacks and make a binder that will have all their family information in it. It is great to have for baby sitters or just for everyday use. Who needs to run around and find doctor numbers and insurance information?.... not the families at AOCS!

• Get Set for School Curriculum

And more!  Check out a few pics from our fun day.  Not to mention...we WON summer contest!  We were so honored to be chosen from all other Academy centers as having the BEST summer program!  We also want to recognize two of our teacher who won awards...Ms. Lina and Ms. Kristen.  Not to mention our Assistant Director, Ms. Michele, was awarded the Rising Start award in our company alongside her twin sister, who is an AD at another center.

Building = Play = Learning

Just had to share this fantastic picture of Anthony using his fine motor skills to build an amazing structure.  Building can often just look like play but he is also learning lots!

GIANT Water Slide!

We wrapped up our annual summer water play days by having a GIANT water slide!  Some were scared at first but then they were fearless fastly going down and dipping into the pool at the end.  We can't wait for next summer!
