Lady Liberty Visits!

Lady Liberty visited us today at AoCS and we learned so much about her history.  She told the story of how she was built in France and shipped over to America in boxes.  She explained that she lives on Liberty Island instead of Ellis Island (which many people mistakenly believe).  Before leaving she complimented our kids on how well-behaved they were and what great questions they asked.  She was a very fun and informative special guest.

American Flag Mural

We all came together as a school to create a giant American flag mural.  We used red and blue hand prints along with red and blue scrap pieces to make our masterpiece!

Firework Cookies

For our celebration of America this week we enjoyed firework cookies.  We spread vanilla frosting on sugar cookies and topped them with red and blue pop rocks.  The kids thought the pop rocks were SO fun!  One even said "there's a firework in my mouth!"  It was a super fun special snack.

Fourth of July Art!

We used dish scrubs, sponges, straws, and texture toys to make firework art!

Patriotic Babies!

Infant One and Infant Two said "Happy Birthday" to America by wearing their red, white and blue!
