All About the Arts

Welcome to the Academy of Cool Springs Art Gallery! We have been all about the arts this week. Our halls were filled with the sound of music with our classrooms homemade musical instruments. The classrooms turned fruit into art, the kids made citrus paintings and we sent home a sounds walk scavenger hunt so that our families could venture out together. We enjoyed stories about music and art and we loved our classroom art galleries!! Our infants made rainbow bubble art, our toddlers made the cutest fuzzy brown bear paper plate painting. Preschool one made salt paintings. Our preschool two room used balloons and paint to make art. Our pre-k one class blew bubbles to make art and pre-k two made tape art on their homemade easels. We loved seeing all the creative ways our school celebrated all about the arts week. 

Mr. Bond Visits the AoCS

We had the most amazing visitor today!! Mr. Bond is so much fun and we always enjoy the experiments that he brings. We hope you enjoy the pictures!! 

Mad Scientists

 Mad Scientists Week 

This week has been all about science. We turned lemons into volcanoes, we explored static electricity with our plasma ball, our families sent in some really cool robots for our robot building contest. Mr. Bond visited and the kids had a blast. We also had some mad scientist punch, complete with pop rocks candy. We explored the sensory side of things with shaving cream and we were able to see our very own AoCS scientist all dressed up in their lab coats and goggles. We hope you enjoy the pictures!

Hello and Welcome to Cafe AoCS...

This week we have enjoyed some time in the kitchen! We have read books about our favorite foods, we had a classroom cook off challenge and we also shared some of our favorite recipes. Our T1 class was ready to take our reservations and serve us up some tasty treats. We enjoyed some very tasty shortbread cookies, we sampled strawberry short cake from our T2 class, in PK1 they served up a delicious marshmallow rice krispie treat with a side of pudding, strawberries, bananas and cool whip. Our PK2 class assembled and baked up a spinach, pepperoni and cheese pizza that was amazing!! Even our infants participated as some of the cutest chef's we have ever seen. Imagine Who We Can Be

This is our week of imagination! We had all sorts of characters here on Monday. From princesses to superheroes, we even saw a Pirate.  This has been a great week to see how imaginative we can be.

Mud Day 2020

Mud Day was such a blast! Our kids had so much fun getting messy! Ms. Robin's PK2 class made their own mud puddles and loved jumping in them.  Playing in the mud is a great sensory activity for children and can really allow their imaginations to run wild!  We love having MUD DAY and hope you love our pictures as well!
