FROG STREET CURRICULUM

It's the second week of getting back in routine with our Frog Street Curriculum and we've enjoyed watching all the fun activities our educators have planned.

FACES & BODY PARTS

Toddlers did a very fun activity looking in the mirror to observe and learn about their face and body parts. The educators had a great time seeing how interested their toddlers were looking in the mirror.

PHYSICAL ME

Pre-k spoke about body parts as well and we saw a lot of fun activities. We've seen great circle time and seat works. In literacy learning centers they introduced body parts vocabulary and facial features.

MY SENSES

Preschool learned about their senses so they colored their five senses book!

HAPPY BABIES
This week we wanted to highlight our happy babies!! A few of our infant two friends that do so well in playing with friends. We enjoy watching them grow, learn and play.

Fall Conference 2022
Every year we look forward to a day that we dedicate time and resources to our educator to gain more knowledge to become better educators. This year's theme was Back to School.

A few group pictures of our phenomenal AOCS educators.

Ms. Debbie  spoke to us about showing our true colors which was very interesting. We got to know ourselves more and also our co-workers.

Becky Haas was a great speaker that spoke to us about Using a Trauma Informed Lens in Early Childhood Education. This topic was a big hit for a lot of our educators. It made us realize that kids behavior can sometimes be based on different events in their lives. We learned more about ACE's which means Adverse Childhood Experiences.

We also had Brittany from CCR&R talk to us about Parents as Partners. She focused on how important it is to create a good relationship with parents and kids.

Ms. Rashonda was also great speakers talking about Partnership, Challenging Behaviors, importance of routines and providing social support. All these topics were great!! We love that we learned so much in very topic and we're able to implement so much into our daily work days.

OUTDOOR MEMORY GAME!
Pre-k friends had fun playing an outside memory game. It was great observing how they play as a team and encourage one another. We highly encourage our preschoolers and pre-k kids to play memory game because it helps to improve a few brain functions such as attention, concentration, and focus. It also gives space for critical thinking which helps children nurture their attention to details. Playing memory games also helps with visual recognition.
We love taking any opportunity to learn.
