Farmer Jason

World famous Farmer Jason came to visit us at AoCS yesterday! You might recognize him from TV and his singing appearances on PBS. He sang a lot of songs with our kids and it was a super fun time full of learning. The kids were clapping and singing along to each song. They couldn't sit still! Thank you Farmer Jason for visiting us.

Earth Day Picnic

The weather could not have been any better yesterday as we enjoyed our Earth Day picnic. We grabbed some blankets and headed outside to eat under the sun. We had so many moms and dads join us! We are always so thankful when we have great parent participation. It's been a fantastic month learning how to recycle and take care of our planet. We love Earth Day!

Trash to Treasure!

Pre-K Two got down and dirty with some trash! But when they were finished with it they had turned the trash into treasure! Look at some of the beautiful creations our children made out of their pure imagination.

Getting a Jump on Childhood Obesity

Healthy habits are instilled at a young age, with most habits being formed during adolescence. We feel it important to instill good habits at an early age, addressing behavioral factors that contribute to overweight and obesity from the beginning.

The Gold Sneaker initiative was developed to enhance policy related to physical activity and nutrition within licensed child care facilities across Tennessee. Policies we've adopted include minimum requirements on physical activity, sedentary activities, breastfeeding, meal time, behaviors, portion sizes, and a tobacco-free facility.
