Mr. Jake the Music Man Visits!

We had Mr. Jake come out for a special music lesson with our students.  He brought his guitar and cello.  He even let some of us try playing his cello.  We had fun singing about letters and numbers.  We even made up a song right from our imaginations!  Thanks, Mr. Jake, for coming out and letting us have such fun while learning!

Not even a broken arm could prevent him from trying it!

Mr. Jake helped each child play.

They made high notes and loooooowwwww notes.

 Look at that smile!

 Learning about Mr. Jake's instruments.

He needed a volunteer from the audience to help.

They created their own imaginary animal then sang about it.

Everyone join in for the "O" sound.

More Cocoons!

We had several other classes make their own toilet paper cocoons to simulate the life cycle from caterpillar to butterfly. It was such a fun (and funny) hands-on learning experience.

Ready to wrap up!

Everyone wanted in on the fun!

Jensen's turn!

Miller's turn!

Scarlett doesn't know what she got herself in to. :)

Busting out of the cocoons!

Pre-K Two got a little help from their friends.

Wrapping from head to toe.

Toilet paper cocoons?!  This is so silly!

Who doesn't want to wrap their friends in toilet paper?

Best friends wrapping each other.

The finished product, lol!

Josie became a professional wrapper.

Where did Emma go?

Is this a caterpillar or a mummy?

Learning through play was never so much fun!
