They read a book to our students then preformed a cool experiment! The rubbed lotion on their hands to represent germs. Then they washed their hands and used the black light again to show if the germs had been washed away or if they were still there. It was a very memorable teaching moment that I'm sure will stick with the kids.
Hopefully the lesson will stick so the germs won't! The best prevention for spreading germs? Wash your hands!
