Officer Mike Visits

Ms. Kristen's dad came to visit today to teach us about "Friends That Keep Us Safe".  Officer Mike discussed bike safety, stranger danger, and how policemen keep us safe. Thanks Officer Mike for coming to visit!

 The kids had many questions.

2nd Annual Family Volunteer Day

This past Saturday we had our 2nd annual Family Volunteer Day.  This year we partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.  Their organization helps feed thousands of hungry families in our community.  We unpacked, sorted, and re-packed 8,656 pounds of food by noon!  It was such a fun experience and a great way to give back to others.

Check out more from Second Harvest at www.secondharvestmidtn.org

 Their facility was very impressive!

Big thanks to Alison McMahan and Brandy O'Neal for volunteering their Saturday morning to help others!

Shucking Corn

Yesterday we got in the spirit of fall by shucking corn.  The kids learned vocabulary like husks, kernel, and shuck.  It was a great sensory experiment.  Today we are eating the corn for lunch!  Even our toddlers got in on the fun.  Check out the pics below.
