A Royal Lesson

We had a class of the most royal kind!  Ms. Lindsay with Pre-Scholar Enrichments brought her magical wand and let us borrow it to see it's magical powers.  It worked!  Every command that our students gave came true!  We had some jumping up and down, some acting like monkeys...it was a silly and fun day with our friends.

Cocoon Wraps

This week we are learning all about caterpillars and butterflies.  As you know, we love learning in a FUN way here at AoCS!  So we grabbed some toilet paper and made life-sized cocoon wraps.  Student volunteers were wrapped up by their classmates.  After some wiggling, they were able to BREAK free and become a beautiful butterfly.  Be sure to ask your child about the metamorphosis process.  You will be impressed with what they know!

Eating Ants?

It's getting pretty buggy here at AoCS!  So much so that we are starting to EAT the bugs!  Last week we focused on ants and bees.  We ate local honey after we talked about bees, then we ate ants on a log!  The children loved making this special snack of celery (log) and raisins (ants).  We put a little cream cheese on there so the ants wouldn't march away. 

Grass Crowns

It's been a "buggy" week over here at AoCS as we explore bugs, bugs, bugs!  So we decided to get crafty and make grass crowns full of insects and bugs.  Here are some of our kiddos with the crown creations.

Art Auction Next Week!

Everyone is buzzing about the art auction starting next week.  Each class has worked hard to create beautiful canvas paintings.  We know all the parents will love the artwork.  Check out Pre-K Two working on their rainbow art!  Bidding starts next Monday at 7am and ends on Friday at 6pm.

We are Too Cool for School!
