Pre-K Two are busy bees! It's Construction Week and they've used everything to build all sorts of structures. Building helps with creativity and fine motor skills. Children experience many different concepts, such as shape and size discrimination, spatial relationships, number skills, balance organization, cause effect, and classification. Cooperative skills, problem solving, and creativity are also promoted in block play. It might seem simple, but building is anything but! Building blocks help build their learning foundation for life!
Small wooden blocks
Big cardboard towers
Legos and interlocking blocks
They even decorated paper bag houses to use during building play.
