Open House 2017

The Academy of Cool Springs is saying "goodbye" to summer program and "hello" to fall with our Open House tonight from 5-6pm.  Parents will receive packets with teacher bios, classroom schedule, developmental goals, and resources.  Each classroom has a small game, activity, and/or gift for each family.  We are so thankful for our amazing families and wish everyone a great academic school year. 

(P.S. - if you think of it let our teachers know what an amazing job they did putting this all together!)

 Pre-K Two is also asking all parent to write their wishes for the school year on a ribbon.  These ribbons will be attached to a mobile and hung in the classroom as a reminder throughout the year.

The Power of Our Playgrounds

What's our favorite time of the day?!  Playground time!!!  This week we rediscovered the power of our playgrounds.  We are extremely lucky at our location to have amazing playground space.  It's our own private oasis that the kids (and teachers) love.  Check out some of our most fun events this week:

The Power of Reading

This week we discovered the Power of Reading!  Books, books, and more books were ALL over!  We read inside, outside, to our stuffed animals, with our teachers, to our friends.  The highlight of the week was when Franklin Mayor Ken Moore came to read to us!  What a special treat! 

One of the best routine a parent can give a child is a daily reading time.  Not only does it increase your child's vocabulary and strengthens their imagination but it is also a great bonding moment.  "Readers are made on the laps of parents."
