Toddler One did a great job implementing our Frog Street curriculum this week! Their theme is The 3 Little Bears. There are so many purposeful aspects to this lesson that children will benefit from. Sitting as a whole group can be pretty distracting to toddlers, so practicing this skill frequently in short amounts of time is a great way to develop that skill. They will hear this story and use interactive story pieces each day. Eventually, they will be able to retell parts of the story or recite certain lines along with their teacher. This is great for memory development and retention. Our teachers did a great job connecting their story to real life, too! You will see that they were able to experiment with toys and chairs as they learned the language small, medium, and large. They were searching and making choice as to what was "just right" for them. They also used this lesson to learn about their senses! They felt warm and cold porridge and enjoyed squishing it around in the bag. Meaningful moments like this definitely set a great foundation for our littlest learners.
