PK1 Pumpkin Exploration

Everyone felt a little different about the pumpkin exploration today in PK1. Some loved the slippery, slimy and squishy feel while others needed more information on what was waiting on the inside. Overall they had a really great time.

Welcome to the Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkins, pumpkins all around! Our classes took a mini field trip to the AoCS pumpkin patch. They had so much fun being able to pick their own pumpkin to take home.

Pumpkin Exploration

Pumpkins, pumpkins all around! One of the best things about the fall is all the pumpkins we have available. Our preschoolers were able to use their senses to explore the insides of a pumpkin. They were able to see, feel and smell the pumpkin. We cut open the pumpkin and encouraged them to explore the inside. They were able to investigate with their hands, eyes, ears and nose. They were able to use sensory skills and fine motor skills. We heard a lot of yuck and eews. Overall they had a great time turning a science experiment into play.

Fall at The Academy

The weather has been perfect! We have had toddlers in tires, up in a fort and exploring all that the outside has to offer. This is one of our favorite times of the year. Fall has arrived at The Academy!

Memories in the Making

Today Ms. Hannah's preschool two class made tied dye shirts! They had fun and loved mixing the colors! Now they have a great keepsake and fun shirt to wear.

Silly Faces

Preschool One was learning all about Faces this week with our Frog Street Press Curriculum. They worked on their social/emotional development by recognizing each other's silly faces. This skill helps our students develop and demonstrate a positive sense of self and competence, and helps each child engage in positive interactions with each other and develope relationships with his or her teachers. Check out these silly faces of Preschool One!
