Faces, Faces, Everywhere!

This week we are learning all about our face and the classes have been busy at work!  Here are a few of our classes bringing their curriculum to LIFE!

Infant One got some help from our Frog Street Press mirror to allow the kids to examine their face.  The face is the BEST toy an infant has.  They are captivated by all the expressions and sounds they can make.  They also got in some good tummy time with friends!  They were able to have a little "social hour" talking to each other.  It was the CUTEST!

Toddler Two made their own faces.  Each child got a blank head and worked to glue eyes, noses and mouths on.  Things might not be exactly where you would think they go, but each child made it their own!  :)

In Preschool Two they worked on Picasso faces (or as the kids called them "Costco faces")!  Lindsay and Rebecca showed everyone a Picasso inspiration piece and the kids went to work creating their own masterpieces.  The end results showcased each student's individual talent.

Pre-K Two took their learning outside and made faces out of found natural objects.  They worked in teams and looked all over for resources on the playground they could use to make their faces.  We saw faces made of out sticks, leaves and flowers!  Each creation was special and the kids enjoyed this very hands-on learning exploration.
